No more than adequate. Would not rush to book again.

The room was clean and parking was free.

There was no restaurant available from Sunday to Thursday, and whilst breakfast was offered, it was in the Garden Room which was like walking into the Mary Celeste. No staff to take breakfast orders so skipped breakfast.

The staff and the breakfast were excellent.

The bed was extremely hard it was like sleeping on set concrete, and it was not the rest my wife and I were needing.

Really liked the room. Nice bathroom refurbished. My best room yet so far and on this floor.

Not at TV channels worked. Room a bit cold. More layers required on bed. Bit noisy at night in corridors and outside.

Okay for one night but not for longer

Location a bit rural and remote but not too far from civilisation

Mattress narrow and uncomfortable. Coaches picking up their passengers blocking the road for too long -inconvenient for other motorists.

The place is so run down. Our room was clean but the other areas weren’t. The room is tiny and cold with a very small double bed. The bathroom was falling apart, literally.

What was the highlight of Adamton Country House Hotel

Excellent value in a nice location.

This was my fourth stay in Adamton House, as I have had some work in South Ayrshire. The hotel is very pleasantly situated in extensive grounds. It caters to coach tour parties and to workers, and offers extremely good value for money and a fairly good level of comfort. Evening meals are available at a very good price for three courses. It's homely fare, and tasty. Staff are always helpful and pleasant.

If occupancy is low, the kitchen may not open for evening meals. But Prestwick has plenty of eating places, so as long as you have transport it isn't a problem (and you really need to have transport, as the hotel is not within walking distance of anywhere). The décor in the hotel is a little 'tired' in places. There is the potential for this property to be a very upmarket hotel, due to the impressive original building and the country location. But then it would be catering to a different market, prices would be much more expensive, and I wouldn't be staying there.

Location, we were informed the hotel was one mile from the airport, and as we had traveled by bus we commenced to walk when we got off the bus in the village, a sign said one mile. Luckily it had stopped raining , however when we had walked as far as the pavement went, (approximately one mile) we were offered a lift by one of the guards at a facility. The distance to the hotel from the village is more like 2 to 3 miles. I would suggest in future you advise your guests, if not travelling by car take a taxi, and do not walk to the hotel from the village.

very misleading info on website.

very misleading info on website.It may be less than 1 kilometer as the crow flies but very expensive long taxi drive required there and back since far too far to walk from airport. Also,bar and bar meals were advertised on info but when we got there bar was closed with no food available.Its miles from anywhere and so it was a disaster.The room was cheap and clean but when you add on the two taxi fares and the lack of food and drink(in contravention of advertising)it was bad value.

location is excellent for flying out of Prestwick airport . staff are nice enough . didn't book any meals so never had any .what we payed for 5 people we really cant complain at all

not good at all. half hotel closed due to flood damage and no bar or restaurant open. Only 1 member of staff on reception. should not be advertised due to these issues and should have been made aware of this on booking. requesting refund?

A good Nights stay Very handy for the Airport.

Only stayed one night and left at 4am so didn’t see much But what I did see was absolutely fine. Paul on reception was a gem.Nothing was any bother to him!. Spent half my stay chatting at desk. Definitely would return.

Reception and original Country House was nice.

Facilities No bar or restaurant available due to lack of staff. Bedroom (Double Clubroom) Bedroom substandard. Bathroom very dated. Junctions between bath and wall tiling disgusting. Bathroom wall tiling disgusting. Dirty bath mat. Small wall mounted tv in bedroom. Wall art terrible. Carpets dirty. Old chairs. Only one bedside lamp and socket. Uncomfortable mattress. No hairdryer or iron. Tea & coffee making facilities basic, unbranded tea and coffee. No biscuits. WiFi Free for 20 minutes. Charge thereafter. No mobile phone reception within bedroom (not even 2G). Would rather have slept in my car.

The original part of the hotel was beautiful and very ornate...

The original part of the hotel was beautiful and very ornate and well kept (the rest did look a bit tired). My dog was welcome in the room and it's a great spot if your travelling from Prestwick Airport. For the price we paid it was good value and I would go back for a budget stay with the dog.

We picked the wrong time to go being just after New Year there was no bar service or food service on site so we had to travel. The beds were quite narrow even for a single, I was ok for the time I was there but my companion left early because he couldn't sleep.
